Compensation programs at UCSF serve as the catalyst for organizational performance by defining pay, rewards and incentives. Staffing and compensation professionals provide services related to classification, recruitment, short- and long-term employment, outreach strategies, organizational analysis and operational needs.

The Team:
Susan Wright, Manager, Compensation and Strategic Awards [+ -]
Susan Wright began her UCSF career in 1985 as an Employment Representative focusing on the delivery of staffing services to campus clients. In her 24 years of service, Susan served briefly as a Management Intern in the Medical Center and has held a variety of progressively responsible positions in Human Resources. Susan possesses two professional certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR); a degree from the University of Rochester; and a teaching credential earned at San Francisco State University. As Manager of Compensation and Strategic Rewards, Susan leads a team of Compensation Consultants who deliver strategic and operational services in the areas of organization-wide compensation and rewards for both UCSF campus and UCOP.
Tim Booher, Compensation and Rewards Consultant [+ -]
Tim Booher, SPHR, joined Human Resources at Laurel Heights in February 2006 and now serves as a Principal Compensation Consultant in the Compensation and Strategic Rewards unit. He provides comprehensive professional services related to classification, compensation, and strategic rewards programs; develops and administers salary programs; serves as consultant to client departments; and provides campus as well as departmental-wide training. He has worked for the University since 1996, previously serving in HR management and analyst positions at both the UC Berkeley and San Francisco campuses. Prior to that, he worked in private enterprise for 18 years. Tim has also completed the HR Management program at San Francisco State and holds a degree in Sociology from Southern Illinois University.
Sheila Lester, Lead Client Services Analyst [+ -]
Sheila Lester previously worked in Human Resources at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where she held a position as a receptionist and then later as a Staffing Assistant. She came to UCSF in 1997 and began working as a Client Services Representative in Central HR on a temporary basis. She became career in the same title in 1998, working with Staffing and Compensation and later providing assistance to LER. Sheila now serves as Lead Client Services Analyst for Compensation and Strategic Rewards. In her current role, she is responsible for classification and compensation services, reporting, triaging client's requests, and serving as point person for questions regarding compensation and classification. She serves as the Lead for the four Client Services Analysts within HR.
Crystal Morris, Compensation and Rewards Consultant
Fanni Munoz, Client Services Analyst [+ -]
Fanni Munoz has a Master's Degree in Psychology and more than 10 years of counseling experience before starting her UCSF career in 2000 as a Client Services Representative in Central Human Resources. She worked with Staffing, Compensation, and Labor Relations, where she honed her HR skills and now serves as a Client Services Analyst for Compensation and Strategic Rewards. In her current role, she is responsible for classification and compensation services, reporting, triaging client's requests, and serving as a point person for questions regarding compensation and classification. She also holds a Professional Certification in Human Resources Management (HRM) from San Francisco State University.
Marilu Ontiveros, Compensation Consultant [+ -]
Marilu Ontiveros, UCSF Campus HR Compensation Analyst, joined us in July 2008. MarilĂș has been with UCSF for eight years, most recently as the Staff Personnel Manager for the Department of Neurology. She has also worked in the HR departments of Radiology and Ob/Gyn. Marilu's background is in non-profit administration, having worked for eight years at the Jewish Vocational Service and nine years at the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation.
Ricardo Rodriguez-vidal, Compensation and Rewards Consultant [+ -]
Ricardo Rodriguez-Vidal, M.Ed., is the Lead Compensation and Rewards Consultant with the Campus Human Resources Office and a certified mediator. He provides comprehensive professional services related to classification, compensation, and strategic rewards programs; develops and administers salary programs; serves as consultant to client departments; and provides individual, departmental, and campus-wide training. Ricardo has been at UCSF for 19 years and has held a variety of positions during that time, all within HR. He came to UCSF with a graduate degree in education and a number of years of experience heading the placement office of a San Francisco non-profit organization, helping develop market-relevant curriculum and successful employment counseling strategies, and participating in the development of vocational training programs.
